Waking up to Mondarruego (B)

Located on the hart of Broto, my apartment is a great base to explore the region, specially for those looking to hike in Ordesa y Monte Perdido. We often welcome families and groups of friends, we will do all that's in our hand to make the most of your stay and make you feel at home. Meet my grandma, a local woman who enjoys meeting visitors and chatting with them (not en english, but she sure will make herself understood). The apartment is located on third floor and there's no elevator.

If you love the Montagne, away from fashionable resorts and mass tourism, and you prefer to hike or ride the stages of the Tour de France this is for you. The water mill, unusual cottage thanks to its glass floor in the living room allows you to observe the water flowing under its vaults and the trout that let themselves be carried by the current of the private stream that borders the property. The 40 m2 T3 duplex cottage offers from its terrace a magnificent view of Lake Payolle and the mountains, kingdom of cows and horses in summer, starting point for many hikes or bikes on the slopes of Tourmalet and Aspin. Fishermen are not forgotten and several water activities are offered in summer as well as horse or pony rides. The view is worth it with sloping stairs. Infants are welcome but nothing is provided for their comfort.

The accommodation we offer is a small semi-detached house in a quiet residence halfway between the village of Luz and the thermal baths. We are a Vendée family of five in love with the Pyrenees, we have renovated this foot to make it as comfortable as possible for a peaceful holiday. Facing south, on the nature side, you can enjoy the fenced grassland overlooking the waters of Gavarnie Gave.
