Surrounded by old oaks and loblolly pines, the property is quiet and never cookie cutter. You’ll love the Japanese soaking tub, two-sided fireplace, gourmet kitchen, robust coffee/tea setup, and the true craftsmanship found in the artwork and handmade details like the bent cherrywood “cloud” above the dining table!

You'll feel at home at the Blue Walnut House, a freshly updated cottage in "The Gem of the Mountains". Relax, play some records & enjoy proximity to local attractions. Close to everything by foot or car! 5-min walk to a local coffee shop 10-min walk to downtown dining and shops 9-min drive to Blue Ridge Parkway 14-min scenic drive to Penland School of Craft. *Our town was effected by Helene flooding but recovering quickly. Roads into town are fixed. Water and electric is back to normal!

Best SP local Bungalow facing park river downtown

Please be aware that this area was severely impacted by Hurricane Helene and is in the process of recovering. Many businesses are still closed and the park that was in front of the house was completely destroyed. House is located in the center of Spruce Pine and was not damaged from the hurricane. Driving distance to Blue Ridge Parkway, Sugar Mountain/Beech ski areas, Roan Mountain, Linville Caverns and Gorge, Little Switzerland, and many other Mountain attractions.
