Explore early history, try your hand at tramping, fishing, skiing, boating & golf the area offers. Strict 2 guest policy, do not bring extra guests. We live next door.

King Cottage

Beautiful new warm and cosy 2 bedroom well appointed cottage with lovely deck and unobstructed views to the mountains, right in the heart of Mt Somers Village. The cottage over looks a sun drenched peaceful and beautifully manicured garden. The cottage is situated close to Mt Hutt Ski field awesome walking tracks and high country lakes. Ideal for couples or families. Also close to the famous Endoras (Mt Sunday) from the Lord of the Rings movie. Please no dogs or other pets.

Washpen Falls The Chalet

Close To Nature One hour from Christchurch, this charming rustic accommodation makes for an easy nature filled escape. Quality bedding and linen ensure a restful nights sleep, relax in the open plan kitchen , dining , living or curl up with a book in the cosy sunroom. Welcome to our recently renovated home. Our home has a great log burner, heat pump and heat transfer. Open plan living and functional kitchen. All bedrooms are good size. Free wifi available. Methven offers both great winter and summer escapes, with the mountain base only 10 minutes from the house, where you can also find some great mountain walks/biking. Or you can relax in the Opuke hotpools, just a 15min walk. You won't be disappointed staying in our comfortable home.

It is a 4 minute drive/20min flat walk into the cafes/restaurants in Methven. The new Opuke Hot Pools is a delight to be savoured so don’t miss booking in for a soak. Nicks Cottage

Stay in our cosy self contained cottage in the village of Staveley on the Inland Scenic route Highway 72. We are close to conservation parks, local walking tracks including the Sharplins fall track , Staveley Ice skating rink and Mt Hutt ski field. Methven is just 15 minutes drive. Ideal for couples, trampers, adventurers, and families. Families with toddlers need to be aware that a small creek runs through the property.

Greenhouse Ski Lodge

Warm spacious lodge consisting of three fully furnished bedrooms with electric blankets and individual heating. Off street parking and only a 5 minute walk to the Village centre. Large lounge, log fire, kitchen, laundry, drying room, free wifi, outdoor spa pool. ($10.00/person) Owners live self-contained upstairs. Please be aware, we don't allow pets, parties or events.
