Jamala House is centrally located near Lamu Fort in the historic oldest part of Lamu. It is a quiet and private resort with a relaxing garden rebuilt to a high standard and reopened in 2018. Dar El Eden house is an old 18th century swahili house carefully restaured and expanded in 2009. This coral stone house maintains its original swahili architecture , using local traditional materials and tadelakt plaster in all the walls and floors. Original 3,5 meters ceilings and walls are decorated with carved niches , freezes and alcoves . The 4 levels home with swimming pool have 5 bedrooms and includes a 360 degrees panoramic view terrace on the city and ocean on third floor.
