Small cabin in the White mountains

This small cabin has recently been re-built with new pine paneled walls and ceiling, bunk beds, carpeting, electricity, a new Eco-outhouse!, solar shower and It is located at the edge of a field about 100 yards from our home. It is a perfect base camp for hikers 12 miles south of Franconia notch trail heads and Appalachian Trail crossing. The cabin is most often used by hikers who want a base camp near many of the most popular hiking trails near Franconia Notch. It is a peaceful and quiet place.

This cabin is wonderfully located just off of Westside Rd. a mere skip away from Echo Lake, Cathedral Ledge, Diana's Baths etc...It is a 5 - 8 minute drive to North Conway Village and Cranmore Ski Resort; and a 5 - 8 minute drive from Settler's Green Outlets, grocery stores etc...with numerous other popular destinations nearby.

This over-garage studio has a private entrance, a queen-sized bed, a futon, gas fireplace, kitchenette & bathroom. There is a refrigerator/freezer, microwave, coffeemaker & toaster but no oven/stovetop. There is a small gas grill available May-Oct. We have beautiful mountain views & are located 10 minutes from downtown. NOTE: Our driveway is long and steep. 4WD/AWD vehicles are often needed to safely get up our driveway in the winter. Also, you will hear the garage door when it opens & closes.

You will be close to everything when you stay at at this centrally located condo. Take the ski shuttle to ski Loon. Walk to restaurants. Swim along the Pemi river located right behind the resort. Go for a hike or take a ride along the Kancamagus Highway. Summer activities near by include Clark's Trading post and Whale's Tale. Our guest house, affectionately known as the “shanty” is located in a very private setting on our property in Sugar Hill. We are located about 25 minutes from the Brenton Woods Ski area and also Loon Mountain ski area. Cannon Mountain is about a 15 minute drive. Our property abuts the Toad Hill Farm wedding venue and is a 5 minute drive from the cottage. The Bishop Farm wedding venue is about 12 minutes away.
