The Forest is your secluded, magical escape on 80 acres of private forest. Close (not too close) to Gimli, Manitoba down a long, private road. Waiting for you to restore and disconnect, enjoy the decks, walk the trails, or take in the healing medicine of the forest. Nestled in the spruce and aspen boreal forest, a woodstove, hammocks, fire pits, hiking trails, swimming/skating pond, snowshoeing. And the vinyl collection. And As John Prine said we threw away the TV (and the Airbnb fee lol).

Farm Cottage near Steep Rock. Cottage is 7 km (5 min drive) to the village of Steep Rock, and is a paved highway (currently under construction 2024) It's a great area for canoeing, kayaking, and boating on the lake, swimming and photography. Cottage has a deck with a BBQ, and a fire pit and hammocks in the yard. In Winter you can cross country ski or snowshoe on the property. Occasionally you can see the northern lights, generally in Winter. There is now also a sauna for guests.

Come for an unforgettable and unique experience, staying in an off-grid geodome! The dome is located on our 60 acre bush property; only shared with our home. It is a secluded and peaceful setting, perfect for a quiet retreat. Things to note: This is an off-grid experience! There is not running water onsite, but you will be provided with some large jugs of water. There is no electricity, but there will be battery packs. There is a bbq for cooking, as well as a propane range.

The Hobbit House (Hot Tub)

This guest suite with a private entrance, is attached to our main house, where your hosting family lives. It's located in a quiet part of town tucked into the trees with a river and walking path across the street. It would be perfect if your travelling here for work or just need a relaxing getaway. This guest suite was once a chicken coop, now turned into a modern mid-century style house that we lovingly have called the Hobbit House because of it's low ceilings.

This house is located in the southwest area of Portage la Prairie, right beside the high school, walking distance to Stride Place, and half a block away from the walking path along Crescent Lake. The main floor suite has two bedrooms, large kitchen and eat in dining room, large living room, and bathroom. Shared space is the backyard as we have a basement suite as well.
