Short drive to Downtown Port Austin. Walk-able to Pointe aux Barques lighthouse. Swim, kayak, play in the huge yard, nap in the hammock, watch the freighters pass from the patio, or curl up with a book in the shaded outdoor sitting area. Located right at the tip of the thumb is Port Austin which is a perfect location for watching both the sunrise and the sunset over Lake Huron. Port Austin has many hiking trails including the distinct Turnip Rock. Peaceful and centrally-located cottage on the south side of M25. Just minutes from downtown Port Austin and Caseville. Rental available in all seasons. Summer is the favorite, come up during the fall to see the color change, the snow is beautiful in the winter and it’s VERY quiet.
