Magic Mountain Cottage: family- & dog-friendly

There is nowhere quite as magical as this: an historic, creaky cottage, owned by the same family for over 60 years, on the flanks of Cader Idris. It's a back-in-time experience, with wooden beams and antique furniture. Please read the details carefully before you book. It’s remote both in location and from modern life. You have space, fresh air, and tranquillity. It's comfortable but nothing fancy. There's no TV or wifi, a woodburner, and massive views behind the cottage of the Barmouth Estuary.

Beautiful, cosy, turf roofed, woodland edge cabin

A beautiful, new and cosy hand-built wooden cabin. It's nestled on the edge of our woodland and in a corner of our small organic permaculture farm between the mountains and sea. It has a double and two single beds, electric, wood burning stove, kitchen, picnic bench, fire pit, private toilet and hot shower. The farm has fresh eggs you can collect in the morning, hammocks and a sauna. We want you feel like you are in a Swallows and Amazons adventure, a place where life is a little bit slower.

Stunning period Farmhouse in rural setting

Dating from 1762, this beautiful stone cottage is full of period features, beamed ceilings and a huge inglenook fireplace. Lovely rural hillside location in a courtyard setting, 2 miles from the main road along a country lane, but only 9 miles from Ruthin. Enjoy the lovely private garden, watch the birds or stargaze at night whilst sharing a bottle of wine in the 'Piggery'. Perfectly placed for all that North Wales has to offer. Great for couples, adventurers, families and dogs. Car essential.

Stone built chalet, set in beautiful remote valley

The Chalet has stunning views, surrounded by wildlife, often lit up by starlight, a unique experience!! Close proximity to LLanberis /Snowdon; an ideal location for exploring, walking, climbing etc! The Chalet is a detached property overlooking a small patio area and paddock. Bedding, pillows, pots, pans, crockery etc are provided but please bring your own towels. Sorry no pets. Being a remote farm, access is along a narrow track. Call if you would like to park in the village and need a lift.

Cute cottage in Machynlleth centre

Originally stables, the cottage has been converted to one-up-one-down self-catering accommodation. Double bed, shower, washing machine, sofa-bed and well equipped kitchen. Easy to get to via public transport. 10 min walk from station and 5 minutes to bus stops and very close to the shops, cafes etc. Cycle parking available. There is usually space to park a car on the drive, but be aware that the entrance is a bit narrow. We have an EV charger and charge for the electricity at 30p/kWh.

High above the dyfi valley , barn conversion holiday cottage with spectacular views of the dyfi valley and cader idris. Off grid, powered by wind and the sun. Sleeps 8 in three double beds, and two single beds. Two Ground floor bedrooms (double and twin) , one loft bedroom with double bed and a mezzanine sleeping area with a double bed above the main living space. Bathroom and wet room on the ground floor. Cottage is in the grounds of our 18C house. Views of Snowdonia; walk to Menai Straits, Sea Zoo, Foel Farm, Plas Newydd (NT); Menai Bridge 10 mins drive; great restaurants; amazing beaches, near Llandwyn Island. Private patio next to orchard & BBQ area; also use of our large garden. Large trampoline and zip wire. Good for couple or family of 4 (1 gallery bedroom above). Kitchenette.
