The cottage is in a superb setting on a south facing hillside with panoramic views across miles of fine Yorkshire countryside. It is approximately two miles from the centre of vibrant Hebden Bridge where there is an excellent range of independent shops, restaurants, coffee bars, art décor cinema, theatre and markets. The cottage has been recently refurbished retaining many original features but with all the modern comforts inc a fully fitted kitchen, underfloor heating and a wood burning stove.

This historic former wash house is a stones throw from all the amenities of UNESCO world heritage site Saltaire village, set in the beautiful tranquil woodland of Hirst Wood. The absolute best of both worlds. Hirst House Cottage is nestled on an island between the river Aire and the Leeds Liverpool canal. With a sofabed downstairs it can sleep 4 adults (no children sorry!). Currently for sale if any of my Airbnb guests fancy their own slice of old Saltaire!
