My great grandparents, Swan and Johanna Johnson immigrated to America in the 1860's, found this land which was similar to Sweden. They raised their family here. Approximately 65 Swedish families settled in this community, became to be know as the "Swede Hills". We just received the Hoosier Homestead Award from Indiana celebrating the Sesquicentennial Award. A little piece of heaven!

Cozy three room studio just one block from the center of town. Within walking distance to the library, courthouse, museum, and several good restaurants and antique shops. Off the street parking right outside your door. Kitchen contains toaster, coffee maker, microwave and a small fridge containing bottled water. Considering our current environment, you can rest assured our studio is sanitized after each guest as well as linens and bedding. We do request that you do not bring pets.

This newly remodeled, spacious, three bedroom, two bath cottage, is equipped with all the comforts needed, whether on holiday or in the area for work. The screened in back porch has plenty of seating for relaxing and watching the eagles, heron, or other wildlife looking for a tasty fish meal in the Wabash river. Home is on private well and septic. My personal preference is bottled water for drinking. WIFI is available, a TV in the living room (stream your favorites).
