The Cottage sleeps 5! It used to be a calving shed!Converted in the early 2000s the character and charm is plentiful .The ground floor is an open aspect where there is kitchen,dining and living area. It has double chapel doors following the main front door from the porch.The bedrooms are on different floors,one up 6 steps and the other down 5. It is solid wood floor right through with Sheepskin Rugs scattered around.The bathroom has shower,sink and toilet. Rustic modern space.Wifi £5/day if used

Welcome to 3 Lydias Cottages! We are based only a 10 minutes’ walk from Keswick town centre and back onto the beautiful River Greta. The name of the river derives from the Old Norse "Griótá", meaning "stony stream". The cottage dates to the mid-1800s and has recently had an extensive refurbishment bringing the property up to the highest of standards. The cottage has been sympathetically modernised to reflect a contemporary feel whilst acknowledging its history and Lake District heritage.

The Haven. Newly refurbished cottage situated 3 miles out of Keswick in a quiet village, which boasts picturesque views onto Skiddaw and surrounding fells. The pathway leading up to Whinlatter is a stone’s throw away ideal for lovely walks and countless cycle routes, and for the less adventurous there plenty of pubs, cafés and restaurants close by. No Pets. The Thornthwaite bus stop is 300 metres from the Haven with buses going to and from Keswick and surrounding areas every 30 minutes.

There is a village shop, two cafes, and three excellent pubs, all within 5 minutes walk of the cottage Surrounding the village is some of the best hillwalking you will find anywhere! The famous Coledale horseshoe ridge walk starts and finishes in the village. The popular mountain biking trail centre at Whinlatter Forrest is less than 2 miles from the cottage.
