Charming suite, great location

Hosts live on upper floors. Lower level, private suite (stair access) has been designed and decorated for you. It features a living room with gas fireplace, bedroom, and bathroom. Next to St.Olaf college, 1 mile to Carleton and downtown, steps from the Ole Store Cafe. Our house is surrounded by trees, perennial gardens, and adjoins the St. Olaf athletic fields. Unfortunately, this space is not suitable for young children. Also, the stairs may be difficult for someone with physical limitations.

You'll have a private entry in the REAR. The front of the house ( the front door) is the entry to the Blue Door upstairs which is also a Air B&B ( found on line ) you will have use of the entire first floor of this 100-year-old home with two baths, a family-size kitchen, laundry room, wood floors, 12-foot ceilings, large windows, It's located on the East- side neighborhood of Northfield, with a six-minute walk to Carleton College and a short 1.8 mile drive to St Olaf College.

Fremont Street Retreat- Private Apartment

This is the lower level private apartment of our home with a private guest entrance. The unit is spacious (1500 sq ft) and well lit. Guests find the space to be very clean & well stocked with essentials. There are many available sleeping options but parking is limited to just 2 vehicles on the right side of the driveway (no street parking is allowed in our neighborhood). We live right upstairs with kids and dogs and there is the potential to hear us but we don't keep late hours.
