The fully separate home is located on our property offering a great space for a couple or a couple with small children. We are located 10 minutes from the East Gate entrance to Algonquin Provincial Park that offers interpretive trails, museums and vast lakes and rivers for day or overnight canoeing trips. Algonquin Parks has much to offer and would encourage you to visit their website. The town of Whitney is about five minutes from our home. Amenities offered; restaurants, gas stations, Pharmacy, post office, grocery store, beer/liquor store, outfitters for canoe rentals and gift store. A beautiful sandy beach and children's playground are located in town.

This cabin site is tucked into the forest at the base of the Deacon Escarpment with a view of the Bonnechere Valley Hills. It is a 10 min hike to the Escarpment Lookout, and roughly a 25 min hike to your canoe on a small lake. There is a picnic table, firepit, outdoor gazebo bar, seasonal outdoor shower and private outhouse. The cabin comes with a map of 30km of trails for you to hike or snowshoe. No neighbours within 500m in any direction. Possibility of occasional guest cars going past.

No service, no electricity, no plumbing, no problems. "Kabinka" is the name of our eastern European inspired Chalet. She is unadorned, a simple shelter for your wilderness retreat. Configured equally well for a large party of family/friends, or for a couple's romantic weekend away. Outside is a modest network of trails, winding along Rockingham Creek with views of our hobby farm and spectacular Waterfalls. April is a great month to visit with warm days and no bugs!

The recent renovations include a tastefully decorated space with the feel of a cozy Canadian cabin.. The beds are excellent. You can enjoy the view and ambience sitting on the screened in porch or sit lakeside on the patio. The cottage has a fully equipped kitchen and bed and bath linens . Satellite tv as well.
