Beautiful 1-bedroom flat in central Manningtree

Located in central Manningtree, this flat is within walking distance of the beach (3 minutes), the local pub and wine bar (2 minutes), the train station (10 mins) and several brilliant restaurants (5 minutes). Self-contained, the flat has a small patio garden at the front where you can sit and watch the world go by. Accommodation is one double bedroom and one small double sofa-bed. There is a bathroom with a shower and a small kitchen. This is a little gem at the heart of our beautiful town.

Its thick brick walls and quiet and pretty disposition, defy its former role as a working yard where timber yachts were crafted and repaired, drawn up inside at high tide. A beautiful large farmhouse, dating from approximately 1600 and listed Grade II, in acres of idyllic gardens and overlooking a mile-wide river estuary. There is direct access from the bottom of the garden onto the ‘sea wall’ along the river, for walks and wonderful birdwatching. There is a duckpond (fenced) by the house and chickens (collect the eggs), and a large summerhouse with veranda in the garden, as well as a paddock of alpacas!
