A spacious living room, large kitchen with modern appliances and a king-bed bedroom and bathroom. Looking over the park, with spectacular sunset views from the living room. The house is at the heart of the historic center of Oeiras, a typical Portuguese town - pedestrian streets, farmers market, bakery, cafes, local shops, public library, parks and, of course, the beach and the marina. Prepare for sleeping well, listening to the birds in the morning and the church bell (only during the day). You will also have access to the use of our relaxing outdoor patio, complete with BBQ, table, chairs and an outdoors couch. Bring your book and a refreshing drink - life is good. We and our two children live next door, so you can be assured we will be around to cater to any question or need. We love meeting new people but we're also happy to just give you your keys and some recommendations and leave you alone to explore and relax. We'll be your perfect neighbours, out of your way but around in case you need anything! Oeiras historic center is a gem we fell in love with in 2015 when we returned to Portugal. A beautiful safe town on a sandy beach, with cobblestone streets where you can walk or cycle, a perfect sense of community, lots of History with the Palace, the church, the well kept romantic parks, fabulous and diverse food options (traditional and modern), art galleries, theaters, markets, museums, the marina with all its outdoor and ocean options, and less than 20 minutes from downtown Lisbon, Sintra and Cascais. Some call it Lisbon's beach district, we call it home. Cozy 1850s Windmill with City and River Sunset Views

Climb the curving staircase in a historic windmill to admire sunsets from a vantage point like no other. The interior has been updated to provide modern comforts, but there are plenty of quirky original details to make this a unique romantic getaway. Enjoy a delicious breakfast from a tree house with views to the city and river (optional — €20 for 2 people). For little ones', or the grown-ups', fun we do have an small swimming pool during spring and summer. Here you'll find a great getaway from the city buzz, but only 10min away by walking to the ferry that takes you to Lisbon. 5 min walking distance to the Fluvial station of Porto Brandão from which a 10min boat trip will take you directly to Belém. The Windmill was totally refurbished but kept the original feel, with practically no alterations to the original structure preserving all stones, windows and iron pieces as initially found when the property was purchased. This accommodation offers the unique experience of sleeping on a building with more than 150 years of history, originally used for grinding flour to be sent to feed the inhabitants of Lisboa. In the kitchen on the ground floor you’ll find 5 millstones that will bring you closer to this past time. This cozy Windmill is equipped with a very comfortable bed for well-rested nights and a lounge area that provides a great spot to chill at sunset, enjoy a glass of wine or even to have a meal, but that can also accommodate 2 additional people on a double mattress. Adding to the character and comfort found in this Windmill you'll find stunning views from here. You’ll be able to see several sights along the river such as the 25 de Abril bridge, MAAT, Museu da Electricidade, Padrão dos Descobrimentos, Mosteiro dos Jerónimos and as far as the Sintra’s Palácio da Pena goes. Depending on the time of the year you will also be presented with blossoming trees, be able to pick fruits directly from them, or even enjoy a meal on top of an olive tree treehouse. Ideal for slow-paced tourism, nature lovers, romantic escapes, or family trips this accommodation offers plenty of opportunities due to its characteristics, vicinity to cosmopolitan Lisboa and a bunch of interesting sites. The windmill is on the south bank of the Tejo River, just across from Belém. It's in the quiet of the countryside, and is just 10 minutes from Lisbon by ferry boat and many beaches by car. 5 min walking distance to the Fluvial station of Porto Brandão from which a 10min boat trip will take you directly to Lisbon (Belém). From Belém to city center there are plenty trains (10min). Please check the time schedule for the ferrys at Transtejo website. Connection between Belem and Porto Brandão. A taxi/uber drive from Lisbon city center to the windmill usually it's about 20eur.

A mountain villa built more than 100 years ago , implanted on an imposing rock with a unique surroundings and a breathtaking view over the sea the city , Cascais and the mountain where it is inserted . The house has been recently renovated and enlarged with a modern and design construction enjoying the view and the surroundings . You can see it from the top of the Sintra Mountains, to the Guincho to Cabo Espichel. A stone's throw from the hiking trails of the Sintra Mountains and its monuments and close to good restaurants , cafés with a good atmosphere , the small village has a supermarket and pharmacy for your peace of mind. Guests have at their disposal a house with 2 bedrooms, living room and kitchen, totally private and access to a large garden with an infinite pool where they can enjoy the wonderful view. I live on the property and am available to share stories and information about the region. I love cycling and know the mountains like the back of my hand. I can share the secrets of the mountains and advise on the best restaurants in the area. Malveira da Serra, a picturesque village next to Cascais and Lisbon (20 min), with hiking routes in the Serra de Sintra and its monuments. Guincho Beach and its wild dunes with their unique beauty are a paradise for surfing/kite-surfing/windsurfing. I recommend using your own car.
