A favorite local spot. Lots of birds and other native wildlife like river otters. Check out the Interpretive Center if you get a chance, and learn about our world-renowned sustainable wastewater treatment plant.
Accessible from lots of points, this state of the art Marsh boasts clean wide trails for walking or riding bikes right along the Humboldt Bay. Here you can see several species of wild birds that live here long term and some that are just passing through.

I recommend that you begin by parking at the parking lot located on South G Street Arcata and start your tour with a stop at the Marsh interpretive center.
