We are excited to announce that this villa will undergo a renovation from May-October 2026 to create an additional Garden Pavilion next to the private swimming pool. The large, new space will accommodate another 4x guests with a king bed, set of bunk-beds and will include a large ensuite bathroom. Once complete, Villa Chang-Guu will be able to comfortably host up to 8x guests!
Note - our other private pool villas are still listed on Airbnb and are subject to availability.
Living Spaces:
Villa Chang-Guu is a large & tropical residence ideal for both short & long term rentals. Floor-to-ceiling glass doors & windows allow each room an abundance of natural light and fresh sea breeze while the back living spaces highlight the sunset over the Andaman Sea.
As you enter the main living section of this Guu Villa #1, guests enjoy a spacious social room with a large 65" Samsung Smart TV. This space transitions to an open-plan design with a modern kitchen & dining area. All living spaces are furnished with tailor-made furniture from Bali & Java Indonesia. Access to the exterior perimeter is lined with tall glass doors to the garden, sala/gazebo, and private 6m long ‘zero-edge’ swimming pool.
Villa Chang-Guu offers 5 different living areas: TV/living room, pool side sala, first floor terrace & dining area and the 70m2 rooftop lounge space with uninterrupted sunset views towards famous Phi Phi Island.
Kitchen & Dining:
Custom cabinets with stone benchtops complete the fully functional kitchen. A large Samsung refrigerator, stove & oven, pantry, and microwave allow for all your culinary comforts. Also included in the air-conditioned kitchen & dining room is a 2m long island and breakfast bench leading towards the comfortable 6-seater dining table (table & chairs all made of high-quality teak wood sourced in Java, Indonesia.)

Bedrooms (2 x King Size):
A set of 2 king-sized air-conditioned bedroom retreats with ensuite bathrooms and built-in robes are placed on the ground floor & first floor. Tall aluminium sliding glass doors enable easy entry to the outside living spaces. Sofa bed or cot available upon request.
The first floor Master Suite enjoys direct access to the work-from-home office, oversized terrace and sea view.
Master Bedroom #2 on the ground floor has direct access to the tropical garden and swimming pool.
*Note: the villa has 1 x extra / spare single bed that can be used upon request.
Bathrooms / WCs (2.5):
In addition to the ensuites in the two main bedrooms, there is an additional 3rd communal WC located on the ground floor and a poolside shower in the garden courtyard.
Work-from-Home Office:
Continuing the modern functionality of this new villa, a self-enclosed office sits at the top of the floating staircase to the first floor. The window views from the terrace and sea view lend itself to a quiet shared workspace for 2 people.
Note: The rooftop, living room and pool-side sala also offer comfortable working spaces.
Sundeck Terrace & Rooftop:
Space! Villa Chang-Guu offers an abundance of lazy & liveable space within its own private sanctuary ~ including an oversized outdoor terrace & rooftop retreat designed for entertaining, having an afternoon nap or simply reading a book in the shade.
The first-floor terrace (66m2) is accessed via the master suite & from the work-from-home office at the top of the stairs. This terrace includes outdoor furniture designed to specifically suit the open sundeck.
The rooftop retreat (70m2) is likely one of the most popular spaces in Villa Chang-Guu (second only perhaps to the Balinese swimming pool) as it boasts sunset sea views towards famous Phi Phi island, including Koh Lanta’s favourite Long Beach. The rooftop is ideal for lazy afternoons and shared evenings with hammocks, bean-bags and shade provided by tropical plants.
Swimming Pool (6m):
Villa Chang-Guu has a private ‘zero-edge’ swimming pool with traditional green sukabumi tiles imported from Bali, Indonesia. This is the perfect place to cool down on warm tropical afternoons with poolside sunbeds.
Garden:
The garden features a lush, manicured lawn and tropical plants on the 380m2 property. A natural fence of bamboo and palm trees wrap around the perimeter of the villa in traditional Balinese fashion, whereby the boundary ties into the green vegetation as much as possible, allowing a truly unique outdoor paradise/oasis. The swimming pool and sala/gazebo are located in the back garden ~ an ideal place to spend a holiday with family and friends.

Guest access
Guests renting Villa Kung-Guu have access to the entire 3-storey villa and all spaces within the 360m2 property (including the garden, sala and private 3m x 6m swimming pool).
All Guests of The Guu Villas also enjoy having access to the bistro next door at Villa Lila (50m away), the communal swimming pool and the gym at Villa Lila as well.
