Congratulations on your five-star review! Your guests appreciate the effort you put into making their stay memorable. Here’s how to keep the momentum going.
Improving your listing as you go
Even guests who give five stars might suggest making a few small changes. Use their feedback as a guide, and consider how to take what you offer to the next level.
- Revisit your listing photos. Did a guest rave about your patio in a review? Feature it in your photos. Do you decorate for a holiday? Rotate photos of the season guests are currently booking to the top.
- Assess your amenities. Consider which popular amenities you can add or upgrade, like replacing a lockbox with a smart lock. The top amenities guests search for include self check-in, wifi, a washing machine, a dryer, TV or satellite and a barbecue area.*
- Add personal touches. Enhance your welcome kit with a handwritten note or a small memento, like a map of the area your guests plan to explore.
- Elevate your decor. Refresh your space with creature comforts, like adding plush cushions and creating cosy nooks for reading and games.
As you make changes, be sure that your listing description, photos and amenities match what your place currently offers.
Helping every guest feel welcome
As a Host on Airbnb, you open your door to people from around the world. Being consistent and inclusive can help every guest feel welcome.
- Ask questions. Send a scheduled message a few days before check-in asking guests if there’s anything you can do to make their stay more comfortable. A willingness to learn what guests need demonstrates that you take their comfort seriously.
- Use gender neutral language. Adding pronouns to your Airbnb profile shows how you like to be addressed and signals that you welcome guests of all identities. When messaging guests, check any assumptions you may be making, such as someone’s gender or relationship status.
- Highlight accessible features. Do you have an accessible parking spot, step-free entrance, doorways or shower, or other accessible amenities? Read our accessibility feature guidelines and upload clear photos to the Accessibility section of your listing to help guests determine if they’ll be able to stay in your space.
- Turn on Instant Book. Allowing guests to book your place without pre-approval reinforces that you’re willing to host anyone who fits your booking criteria.
- Enable self check-in. Guests have shared that the ability to let themselves in helps alleviate concerns about being accepted based on identity.
